İşbu Gizlilik Politikası, DERSTUBE — Çalışma Modu tarayıcı uzantısının kullanımı kapsamında işlenen verilere ilişkin esasları düzenler.

Uzantı tarafından hiçbir veri toplanmamakta, herhangi bir sunucuya aktarılmamakta ve üçüncü kişilerle paylaşılmamaktadır. Uzantının işleyişi için gerekli olan kayıtlar münhasıran kullanıcının cihazında tutulur ve kullanıcı tarafından silininceye veya uzantı kaldırılıncaya kadar muhafaza edilir.

1. Kapsam

İşbu Politika, Chrome Web Mağazası'nda yayımlanan DERSTUBE — Çalışma Modu uzantısının 1.5.0 sürümü bakımından geçerlidir ve yukarıda belirtilen yürürlük tarihi itibarıyla uygulanır. Uzantı, kullanıcı tarafından oluşturulan izin listesinde yer almayan YouTube kanallarının ve web sitelerinin görüntülenmesini ve açılmasını engelleyen bir tarayıcı uzantısıdır.

2. İşlenen veriler ve işleme amaçları

Aşağıda belirtilen kayıtlar, tarayıcının yerel depolama alanında (chrome.storage.local) tutulmaktadır. Chrome Web Mağazası kuralları, verinin cihaz dışına aktarılmadığı hâllerde dahi beyanda bulunulmasını zorunlu kıldığından, her kaydın mağaza beyanındaki karşılığı ayrıca gösterilmiştir.

3. İşlenmeyen veri kategorileri

Aşağıda sayılan veriler hiçbir hâlde toplanmaz, saklanmaz veya işlenmez:

  • Ad, e-posta adresi, yaş, kimlik numarası ve kimliği belirli veya belirlenebilir kılan diğer bilgiler
  • Konum bilgisi ve IP adresi
  • Ziyaret edilen sayfaların içeriği; adresler yalnızca izin listesiyle karşılaştırılır. YouTube'da, yalnızca izlenen videonun başlığı ve kanal adı okunur ve 2. bölümde belirtildiği üzere rapor kaydına yazılır; bunun dışında hiçbir sayfa metni okunmaz veya saklanmaz.

Uzantının kullanımı hesap oluşturulmasını veya oturum açılmasını gerektirmez.

4. Teknik yapı

Uzantının kaynak kodunda ağ isteği gerçekleştirilmesine imkân veren herhangi bir mekanizma bulunmamaktadır; fetch, XMLHttpRequest, WebSocket çağrısı veya harici sunucu adresi yer almamaktadır. Uzaktan indirilen ya da çalıştırılan kod kullanılmamakta; analiz, reklam ve hata izleme araçlarının hiçbiri bağlanmamaktadır. Uzantının tamamı, mağazaya yüklenen paket içeriğinden ibarettir.

5. Talep edilen tarayıcı izinleri

Tüm sitelere erişim İzin listesi kullanıcı tarafından belirlendiğinden, uzantının hangi adreslerde çalışacağı önceden tespit edilememektedir. Bu erişim yalnızca adresin listede yer alıp almadığının denetlenmesi amacıyla kullanılır.

6. Saklama süresi ve imha

Kayıtlar bakımından önceden belirlenmiş bir saklama süresi uygulanmaz; kayıtlar, kullanıcı tarafından silininceye veya uzantı kaldırılıncaya kadar cihazda muhafaza edilir. Rapor panelinde yer alan sıfırlama seçeneği ile kayıtlar her zaman silinebilir. Uzantı güvenliğine ilişkin kayıtlar, müdahale kanıtlarının silinmesini önlemek amacıyla bu sıfırlamanın kapsamı dışında tutulmuştur; söz konusu kayıtlar uzantının kaldırılmasıyla silinir. Uzantının tarayıcıdan kaldırılması hâlinde uzantıya ait tüm veriler Chrome tarafından resen silinir.

Rapor listelerinin her biri azami son 200 kaydı tutar; bu sayıya ulaşıldığında en eski kayıtlar otomatik olarak silinir. Cihaz dışında herhangi bir kopya bulunmadığından, silinen verilerin başka bir ortamda muhafazası söz konusu değildir.

7. Veri sorumlusu ve hukuki sebep

Uzantı tarafından tutulan kayıtlar münhasıran kullanıcının cihazında bulunmakta olup geliştiricinin bu kayıtlara erişimi bulunmamaktadır. Bu itibarla, anılan kayıtlar bakımından geliştirici tarafından yürütülen bir veri işleme faaliyeti mevcut değildir; kayıtlar üzerindeki fiilî denetim uzantıyı kuran kullanıcıya aittir.

Uzantının cihaz üzerinde gerçekleştirdiği işlemenin hukuki sebebi, kullanıcının uzantıyı kurmak ve izin listesini oluşturmak suretiyle ortaya koyduğu açık talep ve rızasıdır. Söz konusu rıza her zaman geri alınabilir; uzantının kaldırılması hâlinde işleme faaliyeti bütünüyle sona erer.

8. İlgili kişinin hakları

6698 sayılı Kişisel Verilerin Korunması Kanunu'nun 11. maddesi ve Avrupa Birliği Genel Veri Koruma Tüzüğü uyarınca ilgili kişi; verilerinin işlenip işlenmediğini öğrenme, bunlara erişme, düzeltilmesini, silinmesini veya yok edilmesini talep etme, işlemeye itiraz etme ve verilerinin taşınmasını isteme haklarına sahiptir.

Uzantı bakımından bu hakların tamamı doğrudan kullanıcı tarafından, aracıya gerek olmaksızın kullanılabilmektedir: kayıtların tümü rapor panelinde görüntülenebilir, sıfırlama seçeneğiyle silinebilir (6. bölümde belirtilen istisna saklıdır) ve uzantının kaldırılmasıyla cihazdan bütünüyle kalkar. Geliştiricinin bu kayıtlara erişimi bulunmadığından, kullanıcı adına görüntüleyebileceği, düzeltebileceği veya iletebileceği bir veri de mevcut değildir.

Politikaya ilişkin başvurular aşağıdaki iletişim adresine iletilebilir. İlgili kişinin Kişisel Verileri Koruma Kurulu'na veya bulunduğu ülkedeki yetkili denetim makamına şikâyette bulunma hakkı saklıdır.

9. Veri güvenliğine ilişkin tedbirler

Kayıtlar, tarayıcının izole depolama alanında tutulmakta olup bu alana yalnızca uzantı erişebilmekte ve web sayfaları tarafından okunamamaktadır. Şifre düz metin olarak değil, yalnızca kriptografik özeti biçiminde saklanmaktadır. Verinin cihaz dışına aktarılmaması nedeniyle, aktarım sırasında ele geçirilme riski bulunmamaktadır.

Bununla birlikte, cihaza fiziksel veya yönetici düzeyinde erişimi olan kişilerin tarayıcı verilerine ulaşabileceği ve hiçbir güvenlik tedbirinin mutlak koruma sağlamadığı hususu önemle belirtilir.

10. Yurt dışına aktarım

Uzantının cihaz üzerindeki işleyişi bakımından hiçbir veri, yurt içinde veya yurt dışında herhangi bir sunucuya, hizmet sağlayıcıya ya da üçüncü kişiye aktarılmamaktadır. Uzantı tarafından ağ isteği gerçekleştirilmediğinden, uzantının kendi işleyişine ilişkin bir veri aktarımı hiçbir hâlde meydana gelmez.

Kullanıcının kendi isteğiyle 17. maddede belirtilen iletişim adresine e-posta göndermesi hâlinde ise, bu iletişim uzantının işleyişinden bağımsız, kullanıcının kendi tercihiyle başlattığı ayrı bir kanaldır; söz konusu e-posta, kullanılan e-posta hizmeti sağlayıcısının (Google LLC) yurt dışındaki sunucularında işlenir.

11. Ev içi kullanım ve kurumsal kullanım

Uzantı, bireysel kullanım ile ebeveynin kendi çocuğu bakımından gerçekleştirdiği ev içi kullanım esas alınarak tasarlanmıştır. Bu nitelikteki kullanım, 6698 sayılı Kanun'un 28. maddesinde öngörülen istisna ile Genel Veri Koruma Tüzüğü'nün ev içi faaliyetlere ilişkin istisnası kapsamında değerlendirilir.

Uzantının bir okul, kurs, işyeri veya benzeri bir kuruluş tarafından üçüncü kişilerin cihazlarına kurulması hâlinde, oluşacak kayıtlar bakımından veri sorumlusu sıfatı ilgili kuruluşa aittir. Aydınlatma yükümlülüğünün yerine getirilmesi, hukuki sebebin belirlenmesi ve ilgili kişilerin bilgilendirilmesi dâhil olmak üzere tüm yükümlülükler bu kuruluş tarafından üstlenilir.

12. Çocuklara ilişkin hususlar

Uzantı, yetişkin veya çocuk ayrımı olmaksızın hiç kimseden kişisel bilgi toplamaz. Yaş, ad, e-posta adresi ve benzeri hiçbir bilgi talep edilmez. Uzantı bir yetişkin tarafından kurulur ve yapılandırılır; rapor panelindeki kayıtlar yalnızca ilgili cihazda, uzantıyı kuran kişinin erişimindedir.

13. İşlevsel sınırlar ve garanti reddi

Uzantı bir yardımcı araç niteliğindedir; gözetimin, iletişimin veya diğer koruma yöntemlerinin yerine geçmez.

Uzantı bütünüyle tarayıcı içinde çalışmaktadır. Teknik bilgi sahibi bir kullanıcı uzantıyı devre dışı bırakabilir, kaldırabilir veya tarayıcı ayarları üzerinden atlatabilir. Şifre koruması bu tür girişimleri güçleştirmeye yöneliktir; hiçbir güvenlik tedbiri mutlak koruma sağlamaz. YouTube ve Google gibi platformlar sayfa yapılarını her zaman değiştirebileceğinden, bazı filtreler geçici olarak beklenen etkiyi göstermeyebilir. Bu sebeplerle uzantı, istenmeyen her içeriğin her hâlde engelleneceğini garanti etmez.

Uzantı ücretsiz olarak ve "olduğu gibi" sunulmaktadır. Kesintisiz veya hatasız çalışacağına, her tarayıcı sürümüyle uyumlu kalacağına ya da belirli bir amaca elverişli olacağına dair açık veya zımni hiçbir garanti verilmemektedir. Yürürlükteki mevzuatın izin verdiği azami ölçüde, uzantının kullanımından veya kullanılamamasından doğan dolaylı zararlar bakımından sorumluluk kabul edilmez.

14. Üçüncü taraflar ve ticari markalar

Uzantı bağımsız bir üründür; Google LLC ile herhangi bir bağlantısı bulunmamakta, anılan şirket tarafından desteklenmemekte veya onaylanmamaktadır. YouTube, Google ve Google Chrome, Google LLC'ye ait ticari markalar olup burada yalnızca uzantının çalıştığı ortamın tanımlanması amacıyla anılmıştır. Söz konusu platformların kendi gizlilik politikaları ve kullanım koşulları geçerliliğini korumakta olup uzantının bu metinler üzerinde herhangi bir etkisi bulunmamaktadır.

15. Politikada yapılacak değişiklikler

Uzantının veri işleme biçiminde değişiklik meydana gelmesi hâlinde işbu Politika güncellenir ve başlıkta yer alan yürürlük tarihi yenilenir; her hâlde en güncel tarihi taşıyan metin geçerlidir. Esaslı nitelikteki değişiklikler uzantının yeni sürümüyle birlikte yayımlanır ve Chrome Web Mağazası'ndaki veri kullanım beyanı aynı anda güncellenir.

Cihazdan veri toplanmasını gerektiren bir özelliğin ileride eklenmesi hâlinde, söz konusu özellik yalnızca kullanıcının açık onayı ile devreye alınır; onay verilmediği takdirde uzantı mevcut biçimiyle çalışmaya devam eder.

16. Geçerli dil ve uygulanacak hukuk

İşbu Politika Türkçe ve İngilizce olarak düzenlenmiştir. İki metin arasında farklılık veya yorum uyuşmazlığı bulunması hâlinde Türkçe metin esas alınır. Politikaya Türkiye Cumhuriyeti hukuku uygulanır.

This Privacy Policy sets out the principles governing the data processed in connection with the use of the DERSTUBE — Çalışma Modu browser extension.

No data is collected by the extension, transmitted to any server, or shared with third parties. The records required for the operation of the extension are held exclusively on the user's device and are retained until deleted by the user or until the extension is removed.

1. Scope

This Policy applies to version 1.5.0 of the DERSTUBE — Çalışma Modu extension as published on the Chrome Web Store and takes effect as of the date stated above. The extension prevents the display and opening of YouTube channels and websites that are not included in an allow list created by the user.

2. Data processed and purposes of processing

The records set out below are held in the browser's local storage area (chrome.storage.local). As Chrome Web Store policy requires disclosure even where data is not transmitted off the device, the corresponding store disclosure category is stated for each record.

3. Categories of data not processed

The following data is under no circumstances collected, stored or processed:

  • Name, email address, age, identification number and other information rendering a person identified or identifiable
  • Location data and IP address
  • The content of pages visited; addresses are compared against the allow list only. On YouTube, only the title and channel name of the video being watched are read and recorded in the report as set out in Section 2; no other page text is read or stored.
  • Emails, messages and other personal communications
  • Financial and payment information
  • Health information
  • Keystrokes, mouse movement and click records

Use of the extension requires no account and no sign-in.

4. Technical structure

The source code of the extension contains no mechanism enabling a network request to be made; no fetch, XMLHttpRequest, WebSocket call or external server address is present. No remotely downloaded or executed code is used, and no analytics, advertising or error-reporting service is connected. The extension consists solely of the contents of the package uploaded to the store.

5. Browser permissions requested

tabs Comparison of the address to which a tab navigates against the allow list, and redirection of addresses not on the list to the extension's own blocking page. Tab content is not read.
declarativeNetRequest Blocking of addresses not on the list at network level, before the page is loaded. The rules are generated solely from the user's allow list.
alarms Periodic verification of whether the extension has been interrupted.
Access to all sites As the allow list is defined by the user, the addresses on which the extension must operate cannot be determined in advance. This access is used solely to verify whether an address appears on the list.

6. Retention and erasure

No predetermined retention period is applied to the records; they are retained on the device until deleted by the user or until the extension is removed. The records may be erased at any time by means of the reset option in the report panel. Records relating to extension security are excluded from the scope of that reset, in order to prevent evidence of tampering from being erased; such records are deleted when the extension is removed. Where the extension is removed from the browser, all of its data is deleted by Chrome automatically.

Each report list retains a maximum of the 200 most recent entries; once that number is reached, the oldest entries are deleted automatically. As no copy is held outside the device, erased data cannot be retained in any other environment.

7. Controller and legal basis

The records held by the extension exist exclusively on the user's device, and the developer has no access to them. Accordingly, no processing of those records is carried out by the developer; effective control over the records rests with the user who installed the extension.

The legal basis for the processing carried out by the extension on the device is the express request and consent of the user, given by installing the extension and creating the allow list. That consent may be withdrawn at any time; where the extension is removed, the processing ceases entirely.

8. Rights of the data subject

Pursuant to Article 11 of Turkish Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data and to the EU General Data Protection Regulation, the data subject has the right to ascertain whether their data is processed, to access it, to request its rectification, erasure or destruction, to object to processing, and to request data portability.

In respect of the extension, all such rights may be exercised directly by the user without an intermediary: all records may be viewed in the report panel, erased by means of the reset option (subject to the exception stated in Section 6), and removed from the device entirely by uninstalling the extension. As the developer has no access to these records, there is no data the developer could view, rectify or transmit on the user's behalf.

Applications concerning this Policy may be submitted to the contact address below. The right of the data subject to lodge a complaint with the Turkish Personal Data Protection Board or with the competent supervisory authority in their country is reserved.

9. Data security measures

The records are held in the browser's isolated storage area, which is accessible only to the extension and cannot be read by web pages. The password is not stored in plain text but solely as a cryptographic hash. As data is not transmitted off the device, no risk of interception in transit arises.

It is nonetheless stated that persons with physical or administrator-level access to the device may be able to reach browser data, and that no security measure affords absolute protection.

10. International transfers

As regards the extension's on-device operation, no data is transferred to any server, service provider or third party, whether within or outside the country. As no network request is made by the extension, no transfer of data relating to the extension's own operation occurs under any circumstances.

Where the user voluntarily sends an email to the contact address specified in Section 17, however, this is a separate channel initiated at the user's own choice, independent of the extension's operation; such email is processed on the servers of the email service provider used (Google LLC), which are located outside the country.

11. Household and institutional use

The extension has been designed on the basis of individual use and household use by a parent in respect of their own child. Use of this nature falls within the exemption provided in Article 28 of Law No. 6698 and the household activity exemption under the General Data Protection Regulation.

Where the extension is installed on the devices of third parties by a school, course provider, employer or similar organisation, the capacity of data controller in respect of the resulting records lies with that organisation. All obligations, including the provision of the required notice, the determination of a legal basis and the informing of the data subjects concerned, are assumed by that organisation.

12. Provisions concerning children

The extension collects no personal information from any person, whether adult or child. No age, name, email address or similar information is requested. The extension is installed and configured by an adult; the records in the report panel are accessible only on the device concerned, to the person who installed it.

13. Functional limits and disclaimer

The extension is an assistive tool; it does not replace supervision, communication or other protective measures.

The extension operates entirely within the browser. A user with technical knowledge may disable it, remove it, or circumvent it by means of browser settings. The password protection serves to render such attempts more difficult; no security measure affords absolute protection. As platforms such as YouTube and Google may alter their page structures at any time, certain filters may temporarily fail to produce the intended effect. For these reasons the extension does not guarantee that every item of unwanted content will be blocked in all circumstances.

The extension is provided free of charge and "as is". No warranty, express or implied, is given that it will operate uninterrupted or free from error, that it will remain compatible with every browser version, or that it is fit for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, no liability is accepted for indirect damages arising from the use of, or the inability to use, the extension.

14. Third parties and trademarks

The extension is an independent product; it has no connection with Google LLC and is neither sponsored nor endorsed by that company. YouTube, Google and Google Chrome are trademarks of Google LLC and are referred to herein solely to identify the environment in which the extension operates. The privacy policies and terms of use of those platforms remain in force, and the extension has no influence over them.

15. Amendments to this policy

Where a change occurs in the manner in which the extension processes data, this Policy shall be updated and the effective date stated in the heading renewed; in all cases the text bearing the most recent date shall prevail. Material amendments shall be published together with a new version of the extension, and the data use disclosure on the Chrome Web Store shall be updated at the same time.

Where a feature requiring the collection of data from the device is added in future, such feature shall be activated solely with the express consent of the user; if such consent is not given, the extension shall continue to operate in its present form.

16. Governing language and law
